About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing operation of SaaS platform. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is eager to grow in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
As part of the Services organization, you will work closely with senior DevOps engineers, product teams, and customer success to ensure smooth, secure, and reliable deployments for our clients. You will contribute to setting up SaaS environments, supporting information security controls, managing deployment workflows, and ensuring successful loading and validation of customer data.
This role provides the opportunity to deepen your expertise in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and regulated lab informatics environments while making a meaningful impact on customer success and product reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, configuration, and validation of SaaS platform for global pharma and life sciences clients, ensuring deployments meet ESG quality, security, and reliability standards.
- Participate in customer calls as needed, assist in discovery sessions, contribute to understanding deployment requirements, and prepare clear, value-focused technical inputs with guidance from senior ESG engineers.
- Apply foundational cloud, security, and infrastructure knowledge to help design scalable, compliant, and resilient deployment solutions, aligning with standard delivery practices.
- Ensure that all deployment activities follow Scitara’s strategic direction, standard operating procedures, and customer-specific compliance expectations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Software Engineers, and Customer Success to ensure smooth handovers and consistent, high-quality deployment outcomes.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, ESG internal playbooks, runbooks, and customer-facing deployment collateral.
- Actively participate in ESG knowledge-sharing initiatives by contributing lessons learned, best practices, and supporting internal training efforts across the team.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
- Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and apply AI-driven approaches that support an evolving AI-forward delivery culture within the ESG team.
- Typically, 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, or deployment engineering.
- Experience supporting the configuration, implementation, and validation of cloud-hosted enterprise applications or platforms.
- Practical exposure to AWS services, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience participating in deployments, environment setup, infrastructure troubleshooting, and security configuration.
- Familiarity with scripting (Bash, Python, or equivalent) and monitoring/observability tools.
- Understanding of security best practices, networking basics, and standardized deployment workflows
Skills & Competencies
Must Have
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and core DevOps concepts such as automation, CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
- Solid understanding of enterprise software deployment processes, infrastructure configuration, and environment management.
- Working knowledge of modern DevOps toolchains including Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Git-based workflows, CI/CD tools, and monitoring/observability platforms.
- Good awareness of security best practices, including IAM, access control, data protection principles, and compliance-oriented deployment practices.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting value-based and solution-driven conversations.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams, contributing to iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer expectations, translate them into actionable technical requirements, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver aligned solutions.
- Skilled in balancing technical depth with business impact, ensuring delivery decisions support broader organizational goals.

- Experience with monitoring tools, log management, or alerting systems.
