Role Description
The Design Lead at VMax Wellness will be responsible for leading the creative direction and design strategy across all marketing initiatives. This is an onsite role based in Coimbatore, ideal for professionals with 6–8 years of experience in brand design, digital campaigns, and creative team management. The role demands a blend of creativity, leadership, and strategic thinking to deliver impactful visual storytelling aligned with VMax Wellness’s mission as a health-tech and holistic wellbeing brand.
Roles And Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Brand Leadership
- Define and drive the overall creative direction in alignment with the company’s marketing and branding strategy.
- Establish and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity across all marketing channels and campaigns.
- Collaborate with marketing leadership to translate business goals into compelling design concepts.
Design Planning & Execution
- Oversee the creation of digital, print, and video assets for campaigns, product launches, and brand communication.
- Ensure every design reflects high visual standards, clarity, and creativity aligned with campaign objectives.
- Develop design systems, templates, and brand guidelines to streamline creative production.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and upskill the in-house design team, fostering creativity, accountability, and growth.
- Work cross-functionally with content, social media, performance marketing, and product teams to ensure design coherence.
- Review and provide constructive feedback to ensure design excellence and timely delivery.
Campaign Support & Brand Storytelling
- Partner with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute visuals for digital campaigns, events, and brand promotions.
- Create high-impact visuals for web, social media, email, and offline channels to drive audience engagement.
- Contribute to content planning with creative ideas that strengthen brand storytelling and visual communication.
Innovation & Trend Integration
- Stay current with design trends, technologies, and tools to maintain a modern, competitive creative edge.
- Experiment with motion graphics, interactive content, and digital storytelling formats to enhance brand presence.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous creative improvement within the design function.
Quality & Process Optimization
- Maintain design accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail across all creative materials.
- Develop efficient design workflows and ensure seamless coordination between internal and external creative stakeholders.
- Monitor performance of design initiatives and adapt strategies for better engagement and results.
Key Requirements
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Experience: 6–8 years in creative design, with leadership experience in marketing or brand design roles.
- Creative Expertise: Strong portfolio showcasing brand, digital, and campaign design work.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Leadership: Ability to guide a design team and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Strategic Thinking: Understanding of brand positioning, storytelling, and audience engagement.
- Adaptability: Capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities.
