Role Overview - To ensure quality, reliability, and compliance of domestic & imported PV modules through robust inspection, testing, and supplier quality management Experience Required 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance /Quality Control Min 5-8 yrs of experience in Quality Assurance /Quality Control of Solar PV Module Proficient in using tools like EL testers, IV tracers, thermal cameras, and IR testers. Familiarity with PV module standards (IEC 61215, IEC 61646) and QMS protocols. Prior work experience with PV Module Manufacturers, IPPs or EPCs Responsibilities: 1. Supplier Due Diligence & QAP Review Conduct supplier due diligence and factory audits (virtual/onsite) for domestic & overseas manufacturers, especially in China. Review and approve Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and manufacturing process documents. Verify compliance with PV standards (IEC 61215, IEC 61646) and customer-specific requirements. Implement incoming quality inspection protocols for all module shipments. 2. Inspection & Testing:- Raw Material /Bought Out item , Production Line & Pre- Dispatch Quality Control of Raw material and Bought out item for PV Module manufacturing • Inspect critical stages of the module manufacturing process : cell stringing, lamination, framing, junction box fixing, and final testing. Ensure compliance with bill of materials (BOM) and verify traceability of raw materials. Review and validate process parameters, quality control records, and internal test reports. Identify non-conformities or process deviations and escalate them as per approved QAP Perform visual inspections, EL imaging, and IV testing of finished modules. Check for visual defects, micro-cracks, hotspots, and alignment issues. Verify product labelling, serial numbers, and documentation for dispatch. Cross-check final test reports, manufacturer QA documents, and certification compliance (IEC 61215, 61646). Validate certification authenticity (IEC, UL, BIS, etc.) to prevent counterfeit or expired certificates. 3. Packaging & Container Loading Inspection Oversee container loading inspections (CLI) for correct stacking, palletization, labeling, and moisture protection. Ensure correct module stacking, labeling, quantity, and secure handling during loading. Prepare photographic documentation and complete the CLI checklist and report. 4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain traceability for each lot/module through serial numbers and BOM verification. Prepare detailed quality reports, NCR summaries, and supplier scorecards.
