Lead-Regulatory Affairs

Position Summary

• Monitor and ensure compliance with CTUIL, CERC, SERC, CEA regulations, Ministry of Power guidelines, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

• Liaise effectively with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary guidance, approvals, and clearances.

• Ensure all renewable energy projects and operations comply with applicable regulations and industry standards.

• Manage connectivity and coordination with CTU and ISTS for renewable energy projects.

2. Policy Advocacy & Analysis

• Advocate for favorable renewable energy policies and regulatory reforms.

• Represent the organization in public consultations, regulatory hearings, and stakeholder meetings.

• Track evolving policy and regulatory developments and recommend strategies to align business objectives with changing market requirements.

3. Stakeholder Communication & Management

• Translate complex regulatory updates into actionable insights for internal teams and management.

• Coordinate with internal teams for timely submission of regulatory filings, draft comments, and compliance documentation.

• Design and implement internal compliance frameworks, training programs, and monitoring tools to ensure continuous regulatory alignment.

4. Technical Skills

• Manage Open Access operations in line with GNA regulations.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the power market and regulatory environment.

• Perform data analysis for regulatory impact assessments, cost modeling, and risk evaluation.

• Familiarity with software tools such as NSWS Portal and other regulatory platforms.

5. Internal & External Coordination

• Internal: Collaborate with Management, Legal, Project Development, and Finance teams to facilitate regulatory approvals, filings, and project milestones.

• External: Maintain engagement with CERC, SERC, Transmission Utilities, Environmental Authorities, Advocacy Bodies, and DISCOMs for timely approvals, clarifications, and updates.

Job Specifications

• Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate; MBA preferred.

• Experience: 10–14 years of relevant experience in power or renewable energy sector.

• Target Industry: Power / Renewable Energy.
