Job Responsibilities
Good experience in CREO / CATIA in 3D/2D and assembly
3D modelling chassis structural components in sheetmetal, tubes, forging and casting components
Estimation of structural strength and stiffness using simple hands on calculation methods
Conduct CAD layout study and resolve interface issues
Conduct benchmarking and design reviews
Release design in PLM software like Windchill
Conduct DFMEA / DFM / DFA / DFS
Study product definition and prepare design input sheet
Identify quality, cost and weight gap against targets and driving actions to meet the targets
Knowledge on intellectual property (IP)
Standardization of design guidelines for the parts
Drafting design verification plans and ensure closure of engineering test reports for design releases
Qualification
Educational Qualification: BE/BTech/MTech
Functional Competencies:
Automotive fundamentals
Basics of engineering materials
Exposure to manufacturing processes like forming, tube bending, welding, forging and costing
Experienced in lean design for cost and weight
