Education

(Minimum)

Chartered Accountant

/ Certified Public Accountant / Cost Accountant / Company Secretary or its equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum: 2 to 4 years post qualification experience in corporate accounting/Statutory Audit
  • Experience of :
    • Working on preparation and finalization of financial statements
    • Support in periodic book closure and review
    • Preparation of month end schedules for group reporting and review
    • Liaising with Stat Auditors and owning closure of audit in co-ordination with internal stakeholders.
    • Expert knowledge of Accounting Standards (IndAS & IFRS) in specific- Lease accounting, Employee benefits, Revenue from contracts with customers, Accounting for Deferred Taxes, Related party disclosure, PPE
    • Exposure to Income tax and GST including tax audit and transfer pricing related compliance.
    • MIS reporting like Variance analysis, Preparation of presentations for senior management etc.
    • interacting with Functional Heads / Middle Management
  • Preferable: Candidate should be conversant with SAP Transaction Codes

This is a IIIrd Line of Defense role.

Technical Skills And Competency

  • Ability to act as an in-house consultant for improving Finance and accounting processes of Yokogawa India Limited on a continuous basis
  • Good interpersonal skills to influence things to get things done
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis of complex problems and find solutions by getting all the stakeholders on-board.
  • Good understanding of Corporate Accounting and compliance requirements in India (Company Law, Income tax Law, RBI Compliance and GST

Additional Skills

  • Proficiency in MS-Office applications (especially MS Excel, PPT, Word)
  • Working knowledge in SAP or any other ERP

Job Role

  • Act as an in-house expert working in IIIrd Line of Defense for Regional Head Quarters - Yokogawa India Limited

Key Responsibilities

  • Own preparation of financial statements, Audit schedules, Reports for Senior Management and Group reporting in close coordination with all the stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely submission of data to the auditors, closure of their queries.
  • Ensure delivery of audits and other special assignments received from Head Quarter Audit team based in Tokyo.
  • Support management in Root Cause Analysis of Audit Observations while working closely with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Monthly follow-up and closure of Past Audit Actions (counter measures).
  • Analyze SAP system reports to support data analysis for auditing as well as continuous improvement
