We are now looking for another team mate to join us in Mumbai as Deputy Manager – Logistics & EXIM.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all logistics and dispatch activities, including loading, unloading, and transportation, comply with company, local and international regulations.
  • Logistics, Warehousing & EXIM Operation: -
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of goods from warehouse facilities to customers or warehouses.
  • Optimize transportation routes to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and monitor KPIs.
  • Oversee daily dispatch activities, space optimization, storage management of goods at warehouse.
  • Coordination with Sales, transporter, external parties, internal management for day-to-day operation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and customs authorities, freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Travel to Custom office, tax authority offices, and any relevant authority office as per business need.
  • Travel to plants and warehouses apart from the base location as per requirement basis.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient stock management.
  • MIS & Documentations:
  • Ensure all shipments have proper documentation, including invoices, delivery notes, and compliance certificates.
  • Prepare Export and Commercial documents required for the supply process.
  • Coordinate with vendors to collect freight bills and send them to the finance team for payment processing.
  • Maintain daily and weekly MIS or trackers and share updates with management.
  • Close the Customer Complaint on time and arrange the Credit Note.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and train 3PL logistics and dispatch staff to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare, analyze and present regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and key metrics.

What We’d Love For You To Have

  • Graduate in any stream. Preference would be given to candidates with Bachelor’s/ Post Graduation degrees in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or SCM associated field
  • 7+ years of experience in Logistics, Dispatch, or Supply Chain Management, Export and Import operation, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Manpower Handling: Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively supervise and motivate teams.
  • Customer Handling: Proficient in managing internal and external customer relationships with a focus on delivering excellent service and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Transporter Handling: Skilled in managing relationships with transporters, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery, and resolving logistical challenges to maintain smooth operations and cost efficiency.
  • Liaising with Customs/CHA/Tax Authority: - Ability to present the case to relevant authority coordinate with internal management for closure of open cases.
  • Ability to Travel: - Capable to travel within state and out of state as per business need
  • Safety awareness and consciousness
  • Excellent knowledge of customs, warehouse, logistics process.
  • Good Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Power Points, ERP (SAP & Others)
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
