Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    As DGM – TechnoCommercial, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and commercial strategy. You'll lead end-to-end procurement, vendor management, contract negotiations, logistics coordination, and budgeting to ensure business success in the Mundra operations.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    1. Procurement & Vendor Management- Spearhead end-to-end procurement activities—sourcing, technical evaluation, award of contracts & purchase orders, and vendor relationship management. - Develop and maintain a robust vendor database for raw materials, spares, consumables, capex items, and services. - Drive vendor development, ensuring capability, compliance, and sustainability. 2. Contracting & Commercial Strategy- Lead techno-commercial negotiations and manage contract execution—ensuring favorable terms and adherence to conditions. - Standardize terms across contracts with builtin clauses for safety, liability escalations, and changeorder procedures. - Monitor and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as reverse auctions and value-engineering. 3. Spares & Inventory Management- Oversee spares, consumables, and materials planning—ensuring optimal stock levels via SAP/MM or equivalent systems. - Ensure efficient warehouse operations including FIFO/JIT principles, racking systems, scrap disposal, and 5S compliance. 4. Commercial Operations & Logistics- Manage logistics and transportation strategies—initiate RFPs/RFQs, select vendors, negotiate rates for domestic and international shipments. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth dispatch, delivery, and transportation planning. 5. Strategic Planning & Reporting- Provide input toward budgeting, forecasting & cost-control, aligning techno-commercial plans with business goals. - Benchmark practices, generate procurement MIS, analyze market trends, and report performance to senior leadership. 6. Compliance, Risk & HSE- Ensure full compliance with quality, legal, financial, and HSE standards in procurement and logistics. - Support IMS/ERP system implementation and internal/external audits. 7. Team Leadership & Process Improvement- Lead a techno-commercial team—mentor, train, set KPIs aligned with individual and business targets. - Develop and refine SOPs for procurement, inventory, logistics, and contracting processes.

Technical Competencies


    Contract management,Supplier negotiation,SAP Proficiency,Cost optimization

Qualifications and Experience


    - B.Tech/B.E. (Mechanical/Electrical/Production), MBA preferred for commercial acumen - 10–15 years overall, with 5+ years in procurement/techno-commercial leadership
