Job Summary:

Database

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB).
Ensure database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Establish and enforce database policies, procedures, and best practices.
Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Collaborate with development and analytics teams to design database architecture supporting new projects.
Monitor system health and ensure high availability and reliability of databases.
Lead database migration and version upgrade projects.
Mentor and guide junior database administrators or developers.
Manage data security, access controls, and user privileges.
Prepare documentation and reports for audits, compliance, and management reviews.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
7+ years of experience in database administration, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or senior role.
Strong expertise in SQL and database performance tuning.
Proficiency in relational (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
Knowledge of cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
Experience with database design, data modeling, and schema management.
Hands-on experience with data backup and recovery tools.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
