Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Officer to join our client's team. The Credit Officer will play a pivotal role in assessing credit applications, conducting credit checks, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Credit Evaluation: Assess creditworthiness of potential customers by analyzing financial information, credit reports, and payment histories to make informed credit decisions.
• Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of credit applications, reviewing financial statements, bank records, and other relevant documentation to determine risk and recommend credit terms.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to gather necessary information, clarify details on credit applications, and negotiate credit terms when necessary.
• Credit Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company credit policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements in all credit-related activities.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit applications, approvals, and other relevant documentation.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to minimize credit losses while balancing business objectives.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales and finance, to address credit-related issues and support business objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in credit management or finance may be beneficial.
• Proven experience of 3+ years in credit evaluation, credit analysis, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound credit decisions.
• Knowledge of credit laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using credit evaluation tools and software.
