Position Overview:

Costing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimations for automation systems, panels, and custom equipment.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs and support quotation processes.
• Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and sales teams to collect cost-related inputs.
• Review BOMs and technical drawings for pricing purposes.
• Liaise with vendors for current pricing and lead time data.
• Maintain and update cost databases and standard pricing templates.
• Monitor actual project costs versus estimates and report deviations.
• Assist in identifying cost optimization and savings opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

• 2–3 years of experience

  in costing, preferably in automation or manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of costing methodologies, vendor coordination, and quotation preparation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software (Tally, SAP, etc.).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and BOMs.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Experience in costing for control panels, automation projects, or machine manufacturing.
• Understanding of current market rates and component pricing.
