Cost Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. The role involves planning, analyzing, and controlling costs to support decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and improve profitability. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for cost control, variance analysis, budgeting, and preparation of management reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cost reports, costing sheets, and variance analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor standard costing systems and processes.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning activities.
• Evaluate product costing, overhead allocation, and inventory valuation.
• Monitor cost records, expenses, and profitability by product, department, or project.
• Support management with cost-benefit analysis for new projects, tenders, and investments.
• Conduct periodic audits of costing processes and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and operations teams to ensure cost efficiency.
• Prepare MIS reports, financial models, and presentations for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (B.Com/M.Com).
• Professional qualification preferred: CMA / ICWA / CA (Inter).
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in cost accounting or management accounting (depending on seniority of role).
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting standards, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally) and MS Excel.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
