Cost Accountant

You will be working as a Cost Accountant at Shivji Valji Group, where your primary responsibility will be to establish robust costing systems, project margin tracking, and financial reporting frameworks across the company's diverse verticals. Your role will be crucial in supporting leadership through pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and ERP readiness initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include building and maintaining job-wise and vertical-wise cost sheets, tracking material, labor, transport, and overheads per project, allocating shared costs across business verticals, creating standard cost templates, monitoring budget vs. actual costs, coordinating with operations and logistics for validating cost data, supporting ERP implementation for costing modules, and preparing monthly cost reports for leadership review. To excel in this role, you should ideally possess a CMA (Cost & Management Accountant) certification, have at least 3-6 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in infrastructure, construction, or rentals sectors, and be familiar with ERP systems, with exposure to Tally Prime being a plus. Your required skills will include a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, experience in project-based or rental-driven businesses, proficiency in Advanced Excel and cost reporting, knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and shared cost allocation, and a proactive and self-starting attitude with a focus on building efficient systems. Preferred skills for this role would involve proactive margin tracking and loss prevention strategies, generating systemized reports aligned with ERP structures, and providing clear and actionable monthly insights for leadership decision-making.
