Job Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost Accountant (CMA) to join our dynamic Finance and Accounts team. This role is critical to our manufacturing operations, providing key insights that drive cost efficiency, profitability, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing costs, managing product costing, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records related to inventory and production. Key Responsibilities: Cost Analysis & Control: Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Identify and report on variances, their causes, and provide recommendations for improvement. Product Costing: Calculate and establish standard costs for raw materials, finished goods, and overheads in a complex manufacturing environment. Maintain and update cost standards in the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Tally,). Inventory Management: Perform month-end closing activities related to inventory, including valuation, reconciliation, and reporting. Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. Margin Analysis: Conduct profitability analysis for different product lines, customers, and projects to support strategic pricing and business decisions. Management Reporting: Prepare key internal reports for management, including cost of goods sold (COGS), gross margin analysis, and manufacturing efficiency reports. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for manufacturing overheads and production costs. Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the cost accounting function to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control. Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and analysis for internal and statutory audits. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Mandatory: Qualified CMA (Certified Management Accountant). Experience: 1 to 2 years of proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within a discrete or process manufacturing industry (Automotive, Engineering, FMCG, etc.). Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of costing techniques (Standard Costing, Batch Costing), accounting principles (Ind AS), and inventory valuation methods. ERP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with any major ERP system for cost module transactions and reporting. Experience with SAP will be a significant advantage. Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Lead design and development of NVH components such as carpets, insulators, headliners, dash pads, and other acoustic solutions for automobiles. Create, modify, and validate 3D CAD models, surfaces, and technical drawings using industry-standard design tools. Work closely with OEM customers to understand design requirements, technical standards, and validation needs. Collaborate with material, testing, and process engineering teams for prototype development and product validation. Conduct benchmarking and feasibility studies for new materials and innovative design concepts. Ensure designs meet performance, durability, manufacturability, and cost targets.
