Cityscope is an emerging platform for city-powered discovery curating hyperlocal content, community-led experiences, and cultural events across cities. We’re building a new kind of media-tech company: one that empowers citizens, creators, and businesses to participate in the local economy and shape the story of their city.


We’re are looking for a multi-talented content & communication strategist to help build our brand, craft compelling narratives, and grow our audience through strategic storytelling, co-creation, and sharp, human copywriting.


Role Overview

You’ll be Cityscope’s lead wordsmith and story-weaver, helping shape how the brand talks to the world and how cities talk to themselves through our platform. This role blends strategic content planning, partner co-creation, and audience building through writing that works across touchpoints—campaigns, creator partnerships, social media, microsites, and event storytelling. You’ll work closely with creators, designers, community partners, and marketers to craft both structured narratives and improvised cultural drops. Think of it as equal parts: editor, creative copywriter, comms lead, and audience curator.


Key Responsibilities

Content and Copywriting

  • Write crisp, compelling copy for campaigns, landing pages, decks, announcements, brand storytelling, social media, and creator launches.
  • Collaborate with designers and partners to develop narratives around events, experiences, workshops, and local movements.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice while adapting tone across platforms (Instagram, WhatsApp, Web, Print, PR).
  • Develop messaging frameworks and microcopy across product interfaces, onboarding flows, and brand touchpoints.


Brand strategy and communications

  • Work with the founders, brand team, and partners to shape brand narratives and communication strategy for new verticals and cities.
  • Co-develop content calendars and launch strategies for local campaigns, events, or creator-led drops.
  • Write B2B pitch decks, campaign explainers, and brand collab kits that spark curiosity and conversions.


Audience Building and Social Media

  • Curate and grow audiences across Instagram, WhatsApp groups, and newsletters with

    relevant, city-driven storytelling

  • Collaborate with creators and city curators to co-create reels, carousels, and posts that drive awareness and engagement.
  • Support the launch of new city chapters and creative drops with tailored content kits and distribution assets.


Partnerships and Co-creation

  • Work with Cityscope partners (creators, brands, curators) to shape

    content collaborations, creator features, or city campaigns

  • Develop collaboration briefs, write partner-facing documents, and help creators land their message through Cityscope.
  • Create

    story-led formats

    that plug into our content engine and CMS (e.g., “Cityscope Asks”, creator diaries, venue takeovers).


AI & Workflow Innovation

  • Use AI tools (like ChatGPT, Jasper, Descript, etc.) to brainstorm, draft, and iterate faster—but with a strong editorial eye.
  • Build repeatable systems for formatting content, distributing across channels, and updating branded pages dynamically.


Skills & Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in content strategy, editorial, communications, or creative copywriting.
  • Strong editorial instincts with the ability to write smart, crisp, and conversational content.
  • Experience with

    Instagram content planning

    , audience building, and basic analytics is a big plus.
  • Proven ability to write across mediums—from decks to digital campaigns to microcopy and social captions.
  • Bonus: Experience working with or for creators, brands, or cultural institutions.
