About Marketing & Communication

Aligned with the guidelines shared by BDO Global, our team of Marketing and Communication executives work together to enhance the brand value of BDO in India. We work together with service line teams, to take to market new offerings through innovative and engaging campaigns and from a corporate perspective remain a custodian of the brand and strategise to enhance its visibility. Leveraging new techniques of marketing and communications, our team works across diverse avenues including design, digital, events, PR, content and communications.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Develop comprehensive content strategies aligned with organisational goals and target audience preferences.
  • Generate high-quality, original content that resonates with the target audience across various formats, including articles, blogs, videos, infographics, and podcasts.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience demographics to aid content development.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external partners to gather insights and ensure content accuracy and relevance.


Strategic Communication Management:

  • Craft clear and impactful messaging for internal and external communications, including press releases, executive communications, and company announcements.
  • Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
  • Maintain brand voice and tone guidelines per existing brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all communication channels.
  • Monitor and analyse communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of messaging strategies and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.


Social Media Engagement and Campaigning:

  • Adept with social media platforms for understanding trends and ideating on new social media campaigns, to enhance engagement.
  • Drive social media engagement and community growth through compelling content, interactive campaigns, and strategic audience targeting.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities to participate in relevant discussions and amplify brand messaging.


Content Architecture Design:

  • Define and implement content architecture frameworks for websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms to enhance user experience and navigation.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to integrate content structures seamlessly into digital products and platforms.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to iteratively improve content architecture and information hierarchy.


Campaign Conceptualization and Coordination:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including branding initiatives, product launches, etc.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics, such as reach, engagement, and conversion rates, and optimise strategies for maximum impact and ROI.


Content Editing and Enhancement:

  • Manage comprehensive content audits with the team to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Oversee and guide the team on content alignment for grammar, style, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and editorial standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to content creators to elevate the quality and effectiveness of their work.
  • Implement SEO best practices to optimise content for search visibility and organic traffic growth.


Adaptability in High-Pressure Environments:

  • Thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Remain agile and flexible in responding to evolving business priorities, industry trends, and customer feedback.
  • Demonstrate resilience and composure under pressure, problem-solving effectively and maintaining a positive attitude in challenging situations.


Utilization of AI Tools for Content Optimization:

  • Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to analyse content performance, predict audience preferences, and personalise recommendations.
  • Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies, such as natural language generation (NLG) and content generation algorithms, to streamline content production processes and enhance creativity.


Project Management

  • Hands-on in leading projects with business teams, providing support from content as well as overall marketing perspective.
  • Ability to manage and execute end-to-end campaigns independently with business, corporate and leadership teams including outlining content agendas, aligning stakeholders, executing programmes, etc.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in English, Literature, Business Administration, Communications, Mass Media, Journalism, Marketing, Design, Fine Arts, or Visual Communication (or a related field).
  • Minimum 10–11 years of professional experience in a corporate environment in creative/communications/branding/design management roles.
