Reporting summary / Scope

  • Reporting to AVP - Commercial Finance & work with Business Managers & Project Managers

Basic Qualifications

  • Post Graduation degree in Finance/Accounts
  • 5+ years of FIN or ACC experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Skills –

  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Client service oriented and fosters positive working relationships
  • Well organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail, follows through on multiple projects and juggle conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Strong financial analysis and management skills; good business acumen
  • Work in a matrix structure
  • Able to articulate complex financial concepts in layman’s terms
  • Ability to take initiative and a self-starter
  • Professional services industry experience is preferred

Work Responsibilities –

Revenue Recognition and Analysis

  • Review and approve Department’s service orders (with oversight)
  • Calculate and track monthly revenues based on active contracts and client billings
  • Weekly/ Monthly revenue pipeline tracking for own department.
  • Fee Reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP and company business processes
  • Review monthly fee and expense details – pull backup as needed and ensure proper coding of expenses

Pricing/ Contracts

  • Setting up contract request as per contract to facilitate billing.
  • Partner with Project Manager to prepare client budgets in line with statements of work
  • Proficiency in project profitability drivers

Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist account teams with monthly project budget to actual tracking and other required client reporting
  • Maintain catalog of required client reporting and ensure timely completion

Billing/Cash Flow Management

  • Facilitate monthly billing – liaison between account staff and billing department and review billing reports.
  • Review/approve write-off’s
  • Assist project managers & business managers with Out-of-pocket expense billing
  • Review outstanding receivables and work with staff to secure payment
  • Ensure timely submission of invoices and supporting documentation

Project & Resource Management

  • Review project request forms for compliance and upload into PeopleSoft
  • Review staff utilization, realization, and capacity and proactively communicate meaningful observations to management.
  • Prepare and/or review staff utilization reports and flag issues for management
  • Run financial queries upon staff request
  • Provide time and expense details to PM’s as incurred on project(s)
  • Review missing time reports weekly and follow up with delinquencies

General Management

  • Ensure department compliance with company financial policies
  • Serve as an integral part of the financial management team
  • Participate in development and implementation of various initiatives, policies and procedures relating to the overall area of client finance.

Team interactions

  • Communicate seamlessly across locations within finance as well as business team
  • Contribute to performance appraisal process for peers and team members
  • Design and engage in team building activities
  • Take responsibility for personal growth and development using available resources
