Job Summary:
The Commercial Analyst will support business decision-making by analyzing sales data, pricing trends, financial performance, and market insights. The role involves preparing reports, identifying growth opportunities, optimizing commercial strategies, and helping the company achieve better profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Financial Analysis
· Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance across channels.
· Track revenue, margins, discounts, and profitability.
· Prepare variance analysis for budget vs. actual performance.
· Identify underperforming products, regions, or categories.
2. Pricing & Margin Management
· Support pricing strategy based on cost, competition, and market trends.
· Conduct margin analysis to ensure optimal product profitability.
· Evaluate impact of promotions and discounts.
3. Reporting & Dashboards
· Develop dashboards and MIS reports for management review.
· Present data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
· Maintain and improve existing reporting structures.
4. Market & Competitor Analysis
· Study industry trends, competitor products, pricing, and market share.
· Provide insights to support sales, marketing, and product development.
5. Business Planning & Forecasting
· Assist in annual and quarterly sales forecasting.
· Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
· Evaluate new business opportunities and expansion strategies.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Work closely with sales, finance, supply chain, and marketing teams.
· Provide commercial insights to enhance operational efficiency.
· Support the leadership team with ad-hoc analysis and presentations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
· Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
· Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other analytics tools.
· Knowledge of financial metrics and business performance indicators.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
· Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
· 1–4 years of experience in commercial analysis, business analysis, finance, or a similar role.
· Experience in retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or product-based business is an advantage.
Working Days:
· Monday to Saturday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
· 2nd & 4th Saturday off
