Job Role : Chief operating Officer (C.O.O) Experience : 20 to 25 years Location : Koperkhairne (Navi Mumbai) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Operations Officer (C.O.O.) with 20-25 years of expertise in the Manufacturing Engineering Industry (preferably into sheet metal and heavy structural steel fabrication). This role involves overseeing the day-to-day and end-to-end production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across all manufacturing processes, and ensuring on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will lead strategic planning, resource optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. He will also be able to handle a wide array of responsibilities viz. Procurement, Supply Chain, Production, Quality Control, Sales, Exports etc. Key Responsibilities: 1) Operational Efficiency: Ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all manufacturing locations, optimizing production processes, and managing supply chains. Collaborating with production Teams to set targets and manage production budgets. 2) Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and goals. 3) Financial Management: Overseeing financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability. 4) Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. 5) Team Leadership: Managing/ motivating and guiding departmental heads, fostering a high-performance culture, and promoting employee development and engagement. 6)Resource Management: Allocating and managing resources (personnel, equipment, materials) to achieve production targets. Optimize workflows and schedules to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. 7) Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers, and community members. 8)Quality Control: Implementing and maintaining quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations. 9)Process Improvement Identifying areas for operational enhancement and cost reduction. Implementing lean manufacturing principles and best practices. Driving continuous improvement initiatives, adopting new technologies, and promoting a culture of innovation, regularly reviewing the work process and making necessary improvements. 10) Co-ordination and Support: a) Technical Support: Providing detailed and in-depth product knowledge (engineering drawings, 2D-3D Modelling) and guiding sales team in answering technical questions and preparing technical presentations / models. b) Sales Support / Co-ordination: Assisting with sales strategies, checking enquiries, preparing sales documents (proposals, quotes), and streamlining sales activities with a strong follow-up. c) Customer Relationship Management: Maintaining communication with clients, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Taking valuable feedback / testimonials from clients for further sales boosting. d) Data Management: Overseeing and Maintaining sales records, preparing reports, and tracking sales performance. Essential Skills and Qualifications: B.E. / B. Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised organisation with a Diploma in Operations Management (preferable). 20-25 years of experience in similar domain. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The incumbent should posses following set of skills.. Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies aligned with business goals. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes w.r.t day-to-day operations, supply chain management, and quality control etc. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. Sales Co-ordination Skills: Co-ordinating with the sales team with a strong follow-up for new enquiries, quotes, designs, updates from clients, new requirements etc. Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of relevant laws and regulations, including safety, environmental, and labour laws. Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills.
