Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) located in Hyderabad. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, creating financial statements and reports, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Daily tasks will include developing financial strategies, conducting financial analysis, managing financial risks, and leading a team of finance professionals.

Qualifications & Requirements• Education: CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification.• Experience: 8–12 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in education, multi-branch institutions, or service sector organizations.• Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial planning, audits, taxation, compliance, and risk management.• Skills:• Strategic financial planning and budgeting• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability• Strong leadership and team management skills• Proficiency in ERP/financial software and MS Office tools• Other Requirements:• Ability to work closely with Trustees, Investors, and Senior Management.• Integrity, accountability, and a strong sense of responsibility.• Exposure to school/group of schools finance will be an added advantage.Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus



Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop long-term financial plans aligned with the vision and growth of the school group.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare, monitor, and control annual budgets for all schools under the group.

• Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, audits, tax filings, and education board/Trust requirements.

• Cash Flow & Fund Management: Manage working capital, fee collections, payroll, and optimize fund utilization.

• Cost Control & Efficiency: Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality in academics and operations.

• Financial Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial statements, MIS reports, and performance analysis to the Board/Management.

• Risk Management: Safeguard school assets, manage liabilities, and implement internal controls.

• Investor & Stakeholder Relations: Handle financial communication with trustees, investors, and donors.

• Support Expansion: Provide financial due diligence and feasibility reports for new campuses or acquisitions.

• Team Leadership: Oversee the finance team across schools, ensuring standardized systems and processes.
