Chief Accounting Officer

Key Responsibilities

 Lead and manage the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax, and financial reporting.

 Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

 Ensure compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and tax reporting requirements.

 Design and implement effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial data.

 Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders to facilitate audits and ensure regulatory compliance.

 Drive improvements in accounting processes, systems, and policies to increase efficiency and accuracy.

 Monitor changes in accounting regulations and update company policies and procedures accordingly.

 Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.

 Support due diligence and integration activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
• Experience in a publicly listed company or large private organization preferred.
• Proven track record in team leadership, process improvement, and financial systems implementation (e.g., ERP systems).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
