Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to lead and manage all financial operations at Marwari Catalysts. This role demands strategic thinking, financial discipline, and a deep understanding of startup dynamics, investor relations, compliance, and fund management.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

● Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and startup investment models.

● Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across verticals.

Accounting & Compliance

● Ensure accurate accounting, timely closing of books, and preparation of financial statements.

● Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies (MCA, SEBI, GST, Income Tax, etc.).

● Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.

Fund Management

● Manage capital flow for internal operations and invested startups.

● Monitor fund utilization, investor capital deployment, and reporting under AIF/Venture Studio models.

● Assist in fundraising documentation, investor reporting, and fund performance analysis.

Startup Portfolio Finance Support

● Support portfolio companies with financial modeling, valuation, compliance, and fund tracking.

● Evaluate startup business plans and perform due diligence from a finance perspective.

● Consult startups to improve their financial structures by analyzing their existing financial frameworks and suggesting best practices for long-term scalability and investor readiness.

Stakeholder Coordination

● Liaise with external consultants, legal advisors, and partners for financial and strategic matters.

● Present financial insights and dashboards to leadership, investors, and stakeholders.

Process Improvement

● Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and MIS systems.

● Lead digital adoption for financial reporting, expense tracking, and grant/fund disbursements.

Key Requirements

● CA qualified.

● Minimum 4 years of experience (post CA completion) in financial management, preferably within startups, incubators, or venture capital.

● Deep understanding of startup finance, equity structures, compliance, and investor expectations.

● Proficient in Excel, Tally/QuickBooks, and financial modeling tools.

● Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

● Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
