Key Responsibilities Conduct statutory, internal, and tax audits in compliance with professional standards. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and audit reports. Manage bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliation processes. Handle direct and indirect taxation including preparation of tax returns, compliance, and planning for clients. Conduct risk assessments, detect discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions. Advise clients on business restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions from a financial perspective. Ensure adherence to national accounting and taxation laws and keep up with amendments. Supervise and mentor junior accountants within the firm. Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in ledgers and accounting systems. Prepare trial balances, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements. Handle reconciliations of bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledgers. Preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and income tax returns for clients. Verify the accuracy of vouchers, invoices, and journal entries. Maintain accounts receivable/payable records and monitor outstanding balances. Assist in preparing financial reports, working papers, and client correspondences. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable laws. Coordinate with auditors, clients, vendors, and governmental bodies as necessary.
