We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, with a strong grasp of financial regulations and accounting principles. This role requires excellent analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic financial audits and reviews.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and analyze variances.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

3. Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits.

4. Internal Controls:

• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.

5. Accounts Management:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

6. Financial Analysis:

• Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare financial reports for management review.
• Support investment analysis and capital expenditure planning.

7. Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance staff.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for team development.

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting and finance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in financial modelling and data analysis.
• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
