Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Category Manager-Interior Products, located in Okhla. The Category Manager will be responsible for managing the interior product category, conducting market analysis, negotiating contracts, and overseeing procurement and sales strategies. The role requires daily interaction with suppliers, ensuring product quality, and developing strategies to enhance the product range and increase market share.

𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲


The Category Manager – Interior Products will be responsible for spearheading product development initiatives by identifying market opportunities, conducting research, defining product specifications, planning launches, and developing integrated marketing and sales strategies. The role entails ownership of category growth, competitive positioning, pricing strategy, and ensuring profitability across assigned product lines.


𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬


➤ Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and competitive landscape.

➤ Recommend product scope and direction by reviewing specifications, requirements, and new product concepts.

➤ Evaluate competition by comparing the company’s products with competitors’ offerings.

➤ Define product marketing communication objectives and provide data-driven insights for brand positioning.

➤ Collaborate with Sales Director to design and execute category-specific sales strategies.

➤ Engage with customers alongside the sales team to analyze performance and market demand.

➤ Prepare short-term and long-term sales forecasts, reports, and analysis for management.

➤ Monitor inventory levels and production schedules to optimize turnover and ensure product availability.

➤ Lead product introductions by defining requirements, conducting ROI analysis, and coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

➤ Develop and implement time-integrated launch plans with sales, advertising, and production.

➤ Formulate competitive pricing strategies using market data, cost analysis, and sales volume projections.

➤ Manage operational requirements including scheduling, task allocation, and performance follow-ups.

➤ Contribute to organizational growth by achieving category objectives and supporting cross-functional initiatives.


𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧


➤ MBA (specialization in Marketing / Operations / Strategy preferred).


𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞


➤ 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in the Building Material or Consumer Durable Industry.


𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬


➤ Strong ability to conceptualize and implement product strategies and marketing programs.

➤ Analytical skills to interpret market insights, sales data, and competitive intelligence.

➤ Effective communication and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales teams.

➤ Proven record in stakeholder management across organizational levels.

➤ Expertise in product pricing, digital marketing, customer service, negotiations, and sales goal setting.

➤ Skilled in product release activities (testing, documentation, demos, and launches).

➤ Innovative mindset with strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to dynamic market environments.

➤ Ability to develop ROI-driven strategies for product placement and category growth.
