General Summary
- Responsible for all Sourcing and Procurement activities.
- Competitive price analysis and PO release based on QCD analysis.
- Drive procurement through approved vendor’s list to avoid rejections and replacements.
- Co-ordinating with internal inventory teams to fulfill user’s request though the available inventory.
- Regular follow-up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries of material to meet end user’s project timelines.
- To coordinate with various CF teams such as Planning, Engineering, Logistics, and Stores to ensure smooth flow, adherence to quality.
- Supporting Engineering teams with expedited deliveries and suggesting alternates against OBS and EOL parts.
- Working with AP team for clearance of aging invoices.
- Resolving Issues related to rejection of materials and replacements
Minimum Qualifications
ORAssociate's degree and 2+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.ORHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Implements and executes sourcing processes based on a basic understanding of company policies and procedures, as well as standard sourcing principles, theories, and concepts.
- Executes sourcing strategies and protocols in accordance with supplier engagements or agreements for one's assigned area of responsibility.
- Helps provide sourcing options and recommendations to internal customers based on technology, cost, and schedule requirements. Recommends solutions to various sourcing issues and escalates issues as needed.
- Collects and analyzes data from different sources to identify problems and help recommend solutions.
- Helps execute contracts in alignment with negotiations, including licensing of IP for integration into end products, pricing, device development and/or supply assurance.
- Collaborates with individuals internally and externally to complete the team's work.
- Executes individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in line with established processes, with minimal supervision.
- Adapts to moderate changes and setbacks in order to manage pressure and meet deadlines.
Level Of Responsibility
- Works under close supervision.
- Responsible for own work. Decision-making is limited. Impact of decisions is readily apparent. Errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).
- Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. Role may require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.
- Most tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.
- Some creativity may be required to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.
- Deductive problem solving is required to solve moderately complex problems; most problems have defined processes of diagnosis/detection; some limited data analysis may be required.
