Business Process Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Manager / CMDB Process Consultant to lead and drive Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Asset Management processes within our ITSM environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, implementing, and governing IT asset and configuration management processes, ensuring data integrity and process alignment with ITIL best practices. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage the end-to-end CMDB and Asset Management processes , including governance, compliance, and optimization. Define, implement, and continuously improve CMDB and Asset lifecycle management in alignment with ITIL standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete configuration data across tools and systems. Define and manage policies for discovery, reconciliation, data normalization , and relationship mapping. Work closely with ITSM, ITOM, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment of asset data with operational needs. Drive automation initiatives for asset data collection and maintenance. Analyze and report on CMDB data quality and asset lifecycle KPIs. Conduct regular audits and reviews of the CMDB to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Provide training and documentation to end users and stakeholders on CMDB/Asset Management processes and tools. Act as a consultant to customers or internal teams on process design, tool configuration, and compliance requirements. Required Skills & Experience: 6+ years of experience in ITSM, CMDB, and Asset Management roles. Proven experience as a CMDB or Asset Process Consultant/Manager . Strong knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 framework , especially around Configuration and Asset Management. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar ITSM/CMDB platforms . Experience in implementing CMDB Discovery tools (ServiceNow Discovery, BMC Discovery, etc.). Ability to define process documentation, RACI matrices, and governance models. Excellent communication, stakeholder management , and documentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications: ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or Intermediate Certification. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or CMDB/Discovery Micro-Certifications.
