Business Head – Water

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership and Growth Strategize sustainable growth of the Water Projects business, Spearhead innovation and market disruption to maintain a competitive advantage. Cultivate acquisitions and other inorganic growth opportunities to expand the business footprint. Mentor the formulation and communication of a clear vision for the WATER PROJECTS business, aligning long-term goals with evolving market dynamics and stakeholder expectations, driving the company towards future growth and resilience.
• Business Expansion and Growth Empower respective business leadership to manage their overall business numbers such as P&L as per short term and long-term target wrt overall business profit and planning. Strategize and align business heads to drive transformation and expansion of the business organically / inorganically Develop strong relationships with other business leaders to drive growth and have further avenues for business for Water Projects division. Direct various functions such as finance, procurement, digital and human resources to enhance business efficiency and foster innovation in execution
• Financial Performance Management Shape the financial health of the WATER PROJECTS business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Guide business heads, to elevate financial performance by shaping strategies that optimize costs and enhance revenue potential Champion visionary financial objectives in alignment with the Adani Group's overarching strategic direction, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term value creation across all business sectors
• Stakeholder Management Steer high-level engagement with government bodies, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to shape and align regulatory policies that drive business growth and support the Adani Group’s strategic priorities. Foster relationships and guide internal stakeholders to navigate the same with regulatory authorities that help business, and secure beneficial and non-beneficial incentives for WATER PROJECTS, and Adani group. Build continuous and strong alignment with Adani Group companies to explore and leverage cross-business opportunities
• Corporate Governance, Ethics and Compliance Oversee the implementation of governance frameworks for the whole organisation that ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements across the WATER PROJECTS business. Guide the development risk, controls, and compliance frameworks, ensuring they are embedded within all business processes. Align business heads to steer strategic initiatives to refine business processes and boost operational efficiency
• People Management and Leadership Champion succession planning and talent development efforts to foster a strong leadership pipeline within the WATER PROJECTS business. Advocate for job rotation and exposure opportunities to cultivate a versatile and resilient workforce. Guide a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and high performance with business heads
• Digital Dexterity and Innovation Champion the integration of technology and digital solutions to drive efficiency, innovation, and business growth. Envision and communicate the alignment of digital initiatives with the overall business strategy and contribute to competitive advantage. Spearhead the adoption of digital tools and platforms across all levels of the organization to enhance decision-making, data analytics, and operational efficiency. Shape the development and execution of a digital strategy that fosters innovation, enhances customer experience, and streamlines operations. Cultivate a digital-first mindset within the WATER PROJECTS business, promoting the adoption of advanced analytics, automation, and AI to achieve operational excellence. Partner with respective HODs to embed a data-driven culture, ensuring the organization strategically leverages digital tools to anticipate market trends and inform high-level decision-making. Foster a culture of digital literacy across the workforce, empowering team members to effectively utilize digital tools.
