Job Position - COO - Fabric Business Head


Description

  • To lead the Fabric business with accountability for Profit & Loss and working capital management.
  • To contribute to the growth of the company through efficient management of operations & marketing of fabric for both, domestic and export markets besides ensuring on Time Delivery in full & high level of customer service.
  • To be the Key member of the management team accountable to P& L of the fabric division.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Responsible for Fabric business as profit center.


  • Overall Operations of Fabric division covering weaving, yarn dying, processing, supply chain management and financials.
  • Optimize all areas of manufacturing including utilization of resources and procurement, power and fuel consumption and strategic workers deployment.
  • Production coordination with market requirements and in-house capability assessment.
  • Planning for Machines, Material, Money & Men for operations besides building a strong succession pipeline and ensure adequate human resources at each level.
  • Ensuring OTIF as committed to customer besides high level of customer service.
  • Ensuring budgeted Inventory Cost to Revenue ratio besides driving efficiencies such as design to cost & standardization achieving faster design turnaround.
  • Ensuring high efficiency in all processes including Weaving, Processing & SCM besides adherence to project safety standards.
  • Benchmarking best practices & apply established methodology of continuous Improvement in Operations.
  • Production review meetings to monitor progress and take corrective actions as required.
  • Tracking progress of key performance indicators and report to Top Management
  • Overall Marketing of Fabric and grow business
  • Lead the entire team of fabric marketing in new market segments by bringing new customers through his efforts and through his team members.
  • To continuously benchmark quality with the best in the world with the help of consultants market information.
  • Continuously enrich Product mix through New Product / Design Development for expanding the customer base and profitable growth.
  • Set ambitious sales & EBITA targets and achieve consistently.
  • Focus on Customer satisfaction and strive for customer delight through continuous improvement.
  • Use innovative digital marketing strategies to increase product reach and positive brand image building.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting and professional relationship with existing customers.
  • Organize and prepare samples and materials for sales presentations through design Centre.
  • Complete competitive market research; and present ideas in an organized and comprehensive manner
  • Understand sales trends, opportunities & threats and make recommendations based on results.
  • Forecast & track key account matrix; identify & grow opportunities within the customer base.


Candidate Profile:


Qualifications

  • Post Graduate / Graduate in Textile or Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Having Management Degree (MBA) is preferable.


Professional Experience


Around 20 - 25 years of relevant professional experience with minimum 5 years as Head of Profit center managing business of Rs 500 cr per annum, with a reputed textile fabric manufacturing company. The person must have in-depth understanding in complete Fabric manufacturing &. Should have techno commercial know-how and strong financial acumen. Should have strong contacts with customers whom he can bring on board. International stint or exposure to global markets is essential.
