Inventic is a fast-growing startup building Gen AI and Agentic AI solutions across Risk, Regulatory and Compliance space. Our mission is to help Banks and Financial Institutions drastically reduce fraud losses, improve risk coverage, and cut compliance costs through intelligent, autonomous AI systems.

We are looking for driven Business Development professionals who understand Financial Services and can help scale our enterprise customer base across Banks, Fintechs, and large enterprises.


Role Overview - The role is for Mumbai based candidates only

As a Business Development Manager, you will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and solution pitching to deal negotiation and account expansion. You will work closely with the founders, product, and engineering teams to position high-impact AI solutions that solve real risk and compliance challenges.


Key Responsibilities


Sales & Pipeline Ownership

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue enterprise opportunities across banks, fintechs, insurers, and payment companies.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle: outreach → qualification → demos → PoC → commercial negotiation → closure.
  • Build, maintain, and forecast a strong pipeline.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers: CROs, CCOs, Heads of Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology.
  • Navigate complex enterprise sales cycles involving procurement, InfoSec, and legal teams.


Market Intelligence

  • Track regulatory developments and evolving risks to position the product effectively.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and bring insights to product teams.


Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with solutions engineers to ensure smooth PoCs and onboarding.
  • Provide customer feedback to influence product roadmap.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars.


What We’re Looking For


Must-Have

  • 3–8 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales or business development.
  • Experience selling to banks or regulated financial institutions.
  • Proven track record of hitting revenue targets.
  • Ability to explain technical AI/ML concepts in business-friendly language.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.


Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience in RegTech, AI/ML platforms, fraud detection systems, identity verification, or workflow automation tools.
  • Experience with PoC-driven enterprise sales cycles.
