Job Title : Business Development Manager – Natural Gas


Job Location - Corporate Office, Navi Mumbai


Experience


Primary Purpose:

Responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing customer relationships while understanding NG & market fundamentals. Position will be primarily responsible for identifying, originating, and negotiating LNG project sales transactions i.e. attending prebid and post bid meetings, lobbying with PNGRB, Natural Gas supply companies, documentation closure for MOUs, BOO and BOT contracts. Responsible for creating maximum and sustainable long-term value across LNG marketing activities and supporting the continuous development of the LNG project sales business for the Company.


Primary Responsibilities & Duties:


Analysis and Strategy

  • Analyze regional and customer specific LNG demand and supply markets and identify target customers for LNG infrastructure development in line with CGD Companies gas infrastructure development plans.
  • Develop key customer profiles and briefings for review of targeted marketing strategies. Understand LNG pricing and offer viable solutions to convert customers from LPG and furnace oil to LNG.
  • Recommend BOO (Build Own & Operate) or BOT (Build Own and Transfer) solutions to customers with long term contracts for supply of LNG.
  • Understanding of the LNG supply chain to tie up with LNG molecule supply for BOO and BOT customers.
  • Define LNG projects sales marketing strategies (portfolio and project specific), presenting recommendations to and securing support from senior management.
  • Develop and review standard and project specific MOU, BOO and BOT contracts terms and conditions for long-term agreements.
  • Provide key LNG marketing and commercial support across LNG project developments and
  • related joint venture development activities of the company.


Marketing and Origination

  • Develop, maintain and enhance LNG customer relationships with prospective counterparties and target LNG buyers, including gas utilities, electric utilities, power generators, industrials, and key buying consortiums.
  • Originate, structure, and negotiate MOUs, BOO and BOT contracts for the long-term supply and services w.r.t LNG to target LNG buyers in line with project and corporate objectives and LNG marketing strategy.
  • Support continuous development of best in class LNG marketing capabilities and work with integrated cross-functional teams and management to ensure effective LNG marketing structures.
  • Develop and act as steward for key relationships with LNG buyers, project partners and industry participants.
  • Act as company ambassador at key industry conferences and events, liasoning with PNGRB and other major gas companies.


Experience & Knowledge:

At least 5 to 7 years of experience within the natural gas and broader energy industry, in related commercial, origination, business development, and marketing positions, with at least 3 years of experience in the LNG industry.


Strong fundamental and end-to-end value chain market insight and knowledge across global gas, LNG and power markets, with an up-to-date view of key market developments, global LNG (export/import) projects, and traditional and emergent LNG buyers.


Experience originating, structuring, negotiating, and executing.

Development of LNG marketing strategy and business cases with track record of presenting to and securing support for recommendations from senior management.


Experience leading LNG marketing activities in project developments, key challenges and project economics.


Experience and strong knowledge across LNG pricing and risk management.


Ability to understand LNG supply contractual terms and conditions, risks and related topics including logistics, project financing agreements, joint venture agreements for bidding, and related subjects.
