Job Title: Business Development Executive - Premium Events Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India Reports To: Head of Business Development Type: Full-Time Role Summary: BizDateUp is seeking a motivated and proactive Business Development Executive to contribute to the growth of our premium events vertical. This role involves a blend of individual sales responsibilities in identifying and converting leads, as well as providing crucial support to the broader business development team in achieving overall sales targets for our exclusive, high-value events. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the startup and investment ecosystem, developing strong pitching and relationship-building skills, and a drive to contribute both independently and collaboratively to the team's success. Key Responsibilities: Individual Lead Generation & Conversion (Independent Contribution):Independently research and identify qualified leads for BizDateUp's premium events through various online resources, including LinkedIn and industry databases. Develop and execute individual outreach strategies to engage prospective attendees (investors, founders, corporate leaders) for smaller segments or specific lead pools. Manage and nurture a personal pipeline of leads, accurately updating progress within our CRM system. Develop and deliver compelling pitches (with guidance and support) that articulate the value proposition of attending our premium events. Independently manage the sales process for assigned leads, working towards successful conversion and meeting individual sales targets. Business Development Support (Team Contribution):Assist the Business Development Specialist and Head of Business Development in broader lead generation initiatives and strategic outreach plans. Support the tailoring of presentations and proposals for larger prospects and sponsorship opportunities. Participate in initial lead nurturing activities and relationship-building efforts under the guidance of senior team members. Assist in preparing necessary documentation, following up on leads, and coordinating meetings. Contribute to market research efforts and the gathering of feedback from prospects. Assist in the preparation of sales reports and presentations. Support the maintenance of the CRM system and sales tracking processes. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. 0-2 years of experience in a business development, sales, or client-facing role (internships or entry-level positions considered). Strong interest in the startup and investment ecosystem. Developing communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Basic understanding of CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus. Eagerness to learn negotiation and closing techniques while also taking ownership of individual sales goals. Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and contribute both independently and as part of a team. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. A proactive attitude and a willingness to support team objectives while also driving individual results.
