Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the accounting and finance landscape. This individual will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth for our accounting outsourcing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting:
  • Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including industry lists, networking events, online platforms (LinkedIn, industry forums), and cold outreach.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to target specific market segments and industries (e.g., startups, small to medium-sized businesses, professional services firms).
  • Initiate contact with key decision-makers (CFOs, CEOs, business owners) to introduce our services and qualify their needs.
  • Sales & Relationship Management:
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of our outsourcing solutions.
  • Understand client challenges and tailor proposals that address their specific needs, showcasing how our services can improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance financial reporting.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market demands in the accounting and finance outsourcing sector.
  • Provide feedback to the leadership team on market opportunities, client needs, and potential service enhancements.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and content that resonate with our ideal customer profiles.
  • Reporting & Administration:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Provide regular reports on sales pipeline, new business wins, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the development of sales forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar client-facing role, preferably within the accounting, finance, or B2B professional services industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) is a significant plus.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
