💼 Remuneration: Fixed Retainer + Monthly Bonus + Annual Bonus + Travel Reimbursements

🔹 About the Role

rat[LAB] Studio is expanding its business operations in Mumbai and seeking a Business Development Associate to lead outreach and studio presence in the city. This is a high-impact, independent role with a strategic focus on facade design and art installations, while also supporting leads in interiors and architectural projects.

You’ll serve as the studio’s key representative in Mumbai, developing a network with designers, architects, HNIs, and media contacts, while aligning visits and meetings for the Co-founder / Managing Director, who will travel to Mumbai bi-weekly or fortnightly. This role also requires close coordination with the Delhi HQ and occasional travel for strategic meetings and alignment.

🔹 Work Format

• Two working formats:
• Option A: Full-time (48 hours/week)
• Option B: Part-time (24–30 hours/week, flexible)
• Depending on the option, work mode can be hybrid, combining Mumbai Office (Worli) with fieldwork and remote days

• Direct reporting to the Delhi Office team via online channels

• Monthly travel to Delhi/Gurgaon for strategic meetings (fully reimbursed)

🔹 Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Business Networking

• Independently identify and pursue leads in facades, art installations, interiors, and architectural projects
• Create a robust professional network of designers, architects, developers, and creative collaborators
• Outreach to high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) for private commissions and art/architecture collaborations
• Develop meaningful relationships with media and press contacts to support the studio’s regional presence

2. Meeting Strategy & Documentation

• Strategically schedule 4–6 high-value meetings per day during co-founder’s bi-weekly Mumbai visits
• Maintain a smart pipeline of prospects and touchpoints across verticals
• Fully document and update progress, follow-ups, and action plans on a monthly basis

3. Regional Growth & Studio Presence

• Support the studio’s Mumbai brand visibility through events, walk-throughs, and strategic showcases
• Identify outreach opportunities in nearby cities such as Pune, Nashik, and other parts of Maharashtra
• Act as the primary point of contact for on-ground collaborations and inquiries

4. Team Coordination & Reporting

• Align with the Delhi-based business and architecture teams on lead status and strategy
• Use CRM tools to track and manage client engagement (training will be provided)
• Ensure full synergy with the business team while working independently without micro-management

🔹 Candidate Profile

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Business (BBA / MBA or equivalent) [Design or Construction background optional but not obligatory]
• Based in Mumbai.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Prior experience or strong interest in design, architecture, or high-end interiors/facade sectors
• Ability to connect and hold conversations with HNIs, media, and senior designers
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable with frequent in-person meetings and independent operations

🔹 Remuneration Structure

1. Fixed Monthly Retainer

💰 INR 25,000–35,000/month (based on experience and working format)

2. Monthly Bonus

🎯 INR 30,000/month per successfully converted project lead

✅ Maximum one lead rewarded per month; others roll over

🎯 Up to INR 3.6 Lakhs/year in performance bonus

3. Annual Project-Based Bonus

🔹 5% commission on art installation projects

🔹 2% commission on facade execution, interior execution, or any execution projects

4. Travel Reimbursement

🧾 Full reimbursement of all travel for client meetings (local & intercity)

🚌 Approved travel to Delhi/Gurgaon also reimbursed for strategic meetings

🔹 Probation & Interview Process

• Initial 3-month probation to gauge alignment and performance
• 2-Round Interview Process:
• First round: Online with team leads
• Second round: In-person with Co-founder (Mumbai or Delhi, based on availability)

🔹 Growth Path

• Entry as Business Development Associate – Mumbai
• Growth toward Regional Business Strategist or City Manager
• Long-term opportunity to lead the studio’s commercial presence in western India
