D3- Academic Internships (Super-Intern!) (Location: NEW DELHI – INDIA) [PRIORITY HIRING] Expertise (Interests): Computational / Parametric Design This position is for graduates & design interns who wish to be a part of studio in Delhi office, and are committed to be a part of the studio with a self-driven approach to undertake multiple tasks such as concept design, working drawings, presentation drawings, content creation, vendor management, etc. The applicant must be a resident of Delhi or willing to relocate to Delhi (relocation costs are not provided and this is a stipend-based role; hence preference would be given to residents of Delhi NCR). ​ Key roles & responsibilities: Working on Computational / Parametric aspect of multi-scalar projects such as Façade, Roof Structures, Complex geometries; should be able to articulate ideas and create parametric models in Grasshopper3D. Must have a strong knowledge of Grasshopper3D, Rhino3D and any other computational tools. Applicants having good design skills and not possessing computational design skills will be considered on a case-by-case basis. During the tenure of internship, the candidate will be handling projects for the studio as per company standards and requisites, dealing with Working Drawings, Presentation Drawings, Concept Designs, Ideations, Visualizations, Site Co-ordinations, etc. and will also be trained in Computational Design & Parametric Design domains, through active participation in educational workshops and seminars. We have had more than 100 interns from across India complete their internships over the last 10 years; and all works are aligned with standard practices of a design studio. ​ - Minimum tenure is 6 months. Shorter internships can be allowed but no experience letter shall be provided. A record of tenure for jury purposes is provided for shorter internships but a preference is given to a 6-month minimum. Formal experience letter (for future use) is provided upon 6 months completion & typically a break is provided for jury / examination when needed. - Preference given to interns available to join immediately. - Interns would have to use their own laptops & data compliances have to be followed for maintenance & handover of office data. - Interns with a knack for learning computational design (having basic prior skill-set) and/or architectural writing and/or video making/editing shall be given an added preference.
