Business Analyst (NBFC | Loans Against MF/Shares/Insurance)
Role Overview
We’re hiring a Business Analyst (BA) to partner with Business, Sales, Risk, and Operations teams to scale our LAS/LAMF/insurance-backed lending. You’ll translate business needs into clear requirements, build/own dashboards and MIS, streamline processes, and work closely with Engineering on data and API-led automations. Comfort with SQL, APIs, Excel, and basic Python is essential.
What you’ll do
Partner with Sales & Ops-
Map and optimize the lead disbursal funnel; drive TAT reduction and first-time-right (FTR).
-
Own lead routing logic, SLA adherence, and capacity planning for on-ground/inside sales.
-
Define and monitor drop-offs at each stage (KYC, pledge/lien, credit, disbursal).
Analytics, MIS & Dashboards-
Write SQL to build recurring MIS, cohorts, and portfolio/risk dashboards (e.g., approvals, STP %, bounce/NACH success, vintage).
-
Automate recurring reports in Excel/Python; maintain single source of truth across CRM & LOS/LMS.
-
Run A/B tests on campaigns and journeys; quantify impact.
Process & Product Requirements-
Convert business needs into BRDs/FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
-
Conduct UAT, write test cases, and sign-off for releases impacting Sales/Ops/Risk.
-
Document SOPs for journeys: MF lien/pledge, share pledge (NSDL/CDSL flows), insurance assignment, KYC & re-KYC, disbursal, eNACH/eSign.
Data & API Collaboration-
Work with Engineering to integrate/validate REST APIs (CRM, LOS/LMS, bureaus, eKYC, payment gateways, RTA/DP partners).
-
Use Postman/Swagger to verify payloads, schemas, and error handling; raise defects with clear logs.
Controls, Compliance & Reconciliations-
Ensure processes align with NBFC/RBI guidelines and internal audit requirements.
-
Set up maker–checker controls, audit trails, and daily reconciliations (collections, payouts, fees, lien/pledge status).
-
Track exceptions and drive permanent fixes (RCAs, CAPAs).
Vendor & Stakeholder Management-
Coordinate with RTAs/DPs, bureaus, CKYC/eKYC providers, payment/NACH partners, and insurance counterparties.
-
Drive adoption of new features and SOP changes across Sales/Ops with crisp training and release notes.
