Bench Sales Recruiter (IT Staffing Sales)

Industry & Sector:

Operating in the IT staffing and workforce solutions sector, serving enterprise and mid-market technology clients across cloud, engineering, QA, infrastructure, and digital transformation projects. We specialise in bench management, rapid candidate deployment, and contract-to-hire placements at scale. This is a fully remote position based in India focused on bench-to-bill conversion and revenue growth.

About The Opportunity

Join a fast-paced IT staffing organisation where bench sales is a strategic growth engine. You will drive the full bench-sales lifecycle — converting bench consultants into billable engagements by sourcing opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and executing fast, compliant placements.Role & Responsibilities
  • assigned practice areas: identify, qualify, and convert bench consultants into billable client engagements.
  • Proactively source opportunities via cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, client follow-ups, and existing account mining to build a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Manage end-to-end submission process—craft targeted resumes, coordinate interviews, secure feedback, and close offers while ensuring timely onboarding.
  • Maintain and update ATS/CRM with accurate candidate statuses, client interactions, and forecasted revenue; hit weekly/monthly KPIs (submissions, interviews, placements, billable utilization).
  • Build trusted client relationships—understand hiring needs, propose matched bench consultants, negotiate rates, and manage contract/PO processes to accelerate time-to-bill.
  • Collaborate with delivery and payroll teams to ensure compliance, smooth transitions, and high consultant satisfaction post-placement.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 1+ years experience in bench sales or IT staffing sales.
  • Proven track record of closing contract placements; strong cold-calling and outbound sourcing skills.
  • Hands-on experience with ATS/CRM systems (Bullhorn, Zoho, Salesforce) and MS Excel for pipeline tracking and forecasting.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with technology roles (Java, .NET, Cloud, DevOps, Data) and ability to map consultant skills to client requirements quickly.
  • Experience negotiating rates, managing offers, and working with vendor management systems (VMS) or client procurement teams.
