Associate Vice President – Product, Digital Business (Consumer Experience)

SonyLIV is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Vice President – Product, Digital Business to lead and enhance the B2C app experience for our cutting-edge streaming platform. In this role, you will drive the end-to-end product strategy and execution, ensuring seamless and engaging customer interactions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging user insights, data, and innovative ideas to create a best-in-class streaming experience that delights users and meets business objectives.

Position Title - Associate Vice President – Product, Digital Business (Consumer Experience B2C )

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

1. Define and articulate the vision for the B2C streaming app experience, aligning with the company’s overall goals.
2. Develop a product roadmap based on user needs, market trends, and business priorities across platforms and devices such as Connected TV, Web, Android and iOS.

User-Centered Design & Experience

1. Champion the voice of the customer by deeply understanding user behaviors, pain points, and preferences through research and analytics.
2. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, delightful, and accessible experiences.

Cross-Functional Leadership

1. Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and content teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of product initiatives.
2. Foster collaboration across teams to integrate features that drive engagement and retention.

Product Execution & Delivery

1. Lead end-to-end product lifecycle across content discovery and recommendations, search, personalization: ideation, requirements definition, development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
2. Define and monitor success metrics (e.g., engagement, retention, conversion rates) and iterate based on insights.

Innovation & Market Trends

1. Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscapes in the streaming and digital entertainment space.
2. Identify opportunities for innovation to differentiate the app and grow market share.

Data-Driven Decision Making

1. Utilize data and analytics tools to measure feature performance, inform decisions, and validate hypotheses.
2. Build A/B testing strategies to optimize user experience and maximize KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 9+/6+ years of product management experience, with a focus on B2C mobile apps, streaming, or digital entertainment platforms.

Technical Experience

• Proven success in driving engagement, retention, and monetization strategies in consumer-focused products.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and app design best practices.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
• Passion for the streaming industry and creating impactful user experiences.
