Associate - Technical Content

About this role

We're looking for a technical problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of content, technology, and process optimization. As an Associate Content Engineer, you'll be the bridge between our educational content and the platforms that deliver it—building tools, automating workflows, and ensuring everything works seamlessly at scale. You'll work directly with our Head of Content & Platform Strategy to shape how we deliver industry-aligned learning experiences across partner universities. This role is perfect for someone who loves fixing what's broken, building what's missing, and staying ahead of tech trends.

What you'll do

Content Deployment & QA

• Upload and configure assignments, coding labs, and projects across LMS/internal platforms
• Test learning content (DSA, Web, DevOps, AI, etc.) and flag unclear instructions, broken configs, or platform bugs
• Guard version control and content quality before anything goes live
• Validate course functionality across different environments and user roles

Problem Bank & Assessments

• Create new assessment problems (with constraints, solutions, and hidden test data)
• Test/refactor existing items; tag, calibrate difficulty, and maintain the problem bank
• Map course outcomes to college‑specific requirements and keep blueprints tight
• Design test cases and validation frameworks for coding assignments

Internal Tooling & AI

• Build lightweight tools/CLIs (Python/Node + HTML/CSS/JS) to automate workflows
• Spin up small AI agents (e.g., auto‑tagging, rubric checks, sanity tests, report generators)
• Identify bottlenecks and ship utilities that increase speed/quality
• Integrate automation tools with existing content management systems

Research & Strategic Input

• Track trends in Cloud, DevOps, LLMOps, and GenAI; convert into actionable briefs
• Write short research notes/whitepapers (e.g., "What's changing in CI/CD tooling?")
• Analyze market demands and translate into content roadmap recommendations
• Monitor competitor offerings and industry certification updates

Documentation & Process Management

• Keep SOPs, QA logs, and trackers crisp and current; create onboarding/process docs
• Publish periodic reports: what shipped, what broke, what improved, and what's next
• Maintain knowledge base and troubleshooting guides for internal teams
• Document platform features and create user guides for stakeholders

Collaboration & Communication

• Act as SPOC for content team with partner colleges and internal stakeholders
• Join QA calls, sprint reviews, and testing cycles; explain platform features to non‑technical folks
• Build hands‑on projects aligned with market needs and certifications
• Facilitate cross-team communication and requirement gathering

What we're looking for

Technical Foundation

• B.Tech/B.E., BCA, or any engineering discipline; 1–2 years relevant experience
• Web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript; can build small internal tools/pages
• Databases: solid SQL + working knowledge of a NoSQL store (e.g., Mongo/Redis basics)
• Comfortable with data structures & algorithms and test design
• Tooling: Git, Markdown, CLI; familiarity with LMS or simple deployments

Communication & Process

• Clear writing—blogs, internal reports, or docs that are structured and user‑first
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for non‑technical teammates
• Ownership mindset: you don't wait for instructions; you fix what's broken (and document it)
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset
• Experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration

Nice‑to‑haves

• Python/Node for quick internal apps; Streamlit/Flask/FastAPI or Express
• Ticketing/KB exposure (Jira, Zendesk, Notion/Confluence)
• Accessibility basics, data‑privacy hygiene, and user‑management workflows
