The role involves working for Front Office Solutions Product Development team which supports the holistic digital and service solution for modern institutional portfolios, fit for purpose to enable data integration, team collaboration and portfolio analysis. A qualified candidate must have the ability to perform in a fast-paced and agile environment in supporting a proven desktop application and delivering a high touch digital application. Innovating, collaborating, and putting the client at the forefront is of utmost importance in this role. This individual should have a strong technical background and experience working on Software Development projects and testingOversee internal and client-side efforts to meet project timelines and overcome project hurdles.
The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
- Defines and applies testing strategy to ensure full coverage of positive and negative test cases
- Collaborates with business users to understand and articulate the needs of the business in the software development process
- Makes consultative recommendations to business users and product owners based on knowledge and experience
- Interacts with software developers to ensure existing code coverage and new functional items are included in the testing framework
- Develops and implements a Test-Driven Development strategy which supports automated testing and continuous integration/continuous development
- Maintains a well-organized inventory of test cases which can be efficiently re-used
- Takes a significant role in signing off on new functionality, regression testing and operational readiness preparations
- Execute UAT test cases including:
- Confirm that the feature performs as intended per business requirements
- Confirm that the feature is consistent in behavior and look of existing features.
- Extraction of data from vended applications to aid in validating of data used.
- Certify that the feature is ready to move into production.
- Provide comprehensive, in-depth consulting and assistance to testing team
- Maintain and enhance detailed test scripts based off business requirements outlining
specific use cases with expected results to support effective testing
- Analyze testing results to identify bugs and clearly communicates detailed examples
with steps to recreate
- Review automation scripts created by the team and provide feedback
- Work with Release team to secure all needed test environments, data, resources required to execute planned testing; identify and highlight any areas where gaps may cause project delay or dependency impacts
- Maintain all test-related documentations, project plans and provide scoping and estimated timelines
- Manage defects, testing-related project risks, reporting, test status meetings/updates and communications with all stakeholders
Skills/ Qualifications
- Understanding of institutional investment industry.
- Good to have the knowledge of performance measurement concepts and standards including GIPS, ILPA, etc.
- Knowledge of alternative assets (private equity, hedge funds, real estate, derivatives) and the metrics typically associated with them will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of quality assurance software
Qualifications
- Experience working on projects under Scrum/Agile methodology
- Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services a plus
- Should be flexible for shifts and extended working hours
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Information Technology or Finance/Accounting, Master’s degree a plus
- Around 4+ years of work experience related to Private Equity, Hedge funds, Project Management, Regression Testing, Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control of software development projects including test automation
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
