Solar Power Evacuation Engineer
We are searching for an experienced Solar Power Evacuation Engineer
to oversee the electrical infrastructure that transports solar-generated electricity from plant to grid. You will design, coordinate, and support all technical aspects of evacuation systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient integration with utility networks.⚡ Key Responsibilities
Evacuation System Design
Design and optimize medium- to high-voltage (MV/HV/EHV) evacuation systems, including step-up substations, switchgear, transformers, and overhead/underground transmission lines.Grid Connection & Compliance
Evaluate grid-connection feasibility for CTU/STU/Discom networks, apply for connectivity, manage agreements, and secure permissions for evacuating solar power.Electrical Analysis
Perform load flow, short circuit, protection, relay coordination, grounding, and reliability studies using tools like ETAP, PowerWorld, or PSS®E.Technical Drawings & Specs
Prepare evacuation system layouts, single-line diagrams, panel drawings, cable routing plans, relay & metering schemes, and technical specifications.Coordination & Approvals
Collaborate with CTU/STU/discom engineers to get engineering approvals, section 68/164, metering/telemetry sign-offs, and oversee statutory requirements like road, rail, and environmental clearances.Stakeholder Collaboration
Engage with project teams, EPC contractors, external consultants, and vendors to align designs, procurement, and construction schedules.Construction Oversight
Support erection, testing, and commissioning of transmission lines, substations, and switchyards; resolve design queries onsite and oversee quality control.Operational Readiness
Coordinate synchronization, grid injectability, RLDC/SLDC registration, telemetry, and issue of charging permissions.Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain BOQs, drawings, cost estimates, schedules, test reports, approval documentation, and OTP/hand-over packs.Mentoring & Leadership
Provide guidance to junior engineers, delegate tasks, review deliverables, and drive alignment with project milestones.Education
