Assistant Manager- Signalling & Telecommunication

Purpose/Objective

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager for Signaling and Telecommunication (S & T) Operations & Maintenance in the Coal Mining industry. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of S & T operations, maintenance, and inventory management. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of Role

In charge of Signaling and Telecommunication. Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and annual S & T operations, including both Equipment Inspection (EI) and Preventive Inspection (PI). Respond promptly to breakdown maintenance activities and ensure timely restoration of equipment. Control and manage inventory costs of railway spare parts and consumables within the allocated budget. Prepare and monitor the annual budget for S & T operations, maintenance, spare parts, and consumables. Monitor inventory levels and take necessary corrective actions to optimize stock levels. Ensure compliance with processes and documentation as per S & T requirements. Enforce adherence to safety norms by all employees and contractors. Responsible for preparing scope documents, estimation, execution, and monitoring of the S & T aspects of projects. Ensure timely vendor payments through Purchase Requisitions (PR)/Service Entry Sheets (SES)/Delivery Payment Requests (DPR). Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by the management as needed.

Technical Competencies

• Extensive knowledge of Signaling and Telecommunication systems in the Coal Mining industry.,• Proven experience in managing S & T operations and maintenance.,• Proficiency in inventory management and budget control.,• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. Certification Required: Professional certification in Railway Signaling and Telecommunication will be an advantage. Exp.- 8-10 Yrs.
