In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Responsible for the direct sourcing of materials from the approved supply base to ensure all materials are procured and delivered to the factory with the operational strategy in effect and ensure positive impact on Cost Savings, ITO and Service Levels.
- Identify risk factors for Major parts with High Lead time, High cost and single source supply, Remove the Monopoly and avoid single source dependence. Develop alternate sources of supply to remove monopoly factor, reduce cost and lead time to improve Inventory.
- Monitor On Time Purchase Order Placement for all the Purchase Requisition created.
- Expedite Project orders and critical high value orders directly with the Foundry/Forge Factory by expediting Visits, Steel castings to be monitored from Pouring date to Shipping date for critical orders and provide detailed progress report.
- Accurately & Timely report out Monthly / Annually on OTD calculation for all suppliers to Management.
- Execution of purchase orders both to external suppliers and Inter-co (internal), including update as needed (re-schedules) and date management in Oracle per given guidelines.
- Work Closely with Projects Management, Planning, Production and Manufacturing Team to achieve Organization Targets
- Effective co-ordination with Global Supply Chain (GSC) team across the world and align to their vendor management policies and consistent vendor performance.
- Loading the foundry based on the tonnage allocated to each foundry as per GSC Guidelines.
- Analysis on Loading pattern based on Supplier performance of each vendor and surge loading of vendor based upon the project order flow in previous month.
- Using Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) and other tools identify/implement improvements in processes and procedures.
- Achieving Key Performance Indicators decided in Performance mapping Programs annually.
- Assist/support in the preparation of supply chain strategies.
- Develop new sources of suppliers for parts to achieve the advised cost savings annually and to improve lead time accordingly to reduce Inventory.
- Supervise Demand forecast and Safety stock program for fast moving parts thereby reducing non value expedition and also reducing Inventory and improving Purchase cost payment
- Expedite Special orders, Late backlog lines with the vendors and provide detailed progress report with delivery date to Management
- Applies procedures which are described in QA Manual, ensure the final product is fully in line with write up, prior to completion.
- Identifying the D-excess parts and allocating them to the current demand with approval from QC.
- Review with buyers and clearance of Vendor invoices for on time payment processing.
- Planning and Purchasing Project Materials and Services.
- Align materials as per Oracle Demand date, synchronized receipt of materials & in turn supporting optimally in meeting customer delivery dates.
- Ensure accuracy and timely Attribute study (material master) and setting in Oracle system
- Expediting, Follow up and Analysis of Manufacturing at Supplier Facility.
- Analysis and Calculation of On Time Delivery Performance of Suppliers.
- Maintain accurate history files for assigned parts and for supplier communications.
- Coordinate and/or support the resolution of all issues that may arise with parts including delivery, expediting, invoicing, receiving, quality, BOM accuracy and MRP issues.
- Support design changes and assist with implementation of new products and Engineering Changes.
- Support or initiate programs to increase inventory turnover and improve inventory accuracy.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Engineering / Equivalent Degree
- 12+ years Material Planning & Purchasing experience.
- Possess Planning, Purchasing & Inventory Management Skill/Strategy
