Assistant Manager

Job Title: Assistant manger – Cold Storage Warehouse Location: Cochin and Vizag, Hydrabad Reports To: Ops Head, Warehouse Manager Department: Warehouse  Employment Type: Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in cold storage. Knowledge of Vinculum and inventory control systems. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Familiarity with cold chain logistics and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI). Ability to work in cold environments and manage shift operations. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Job Purpose: To support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations at the cold storage facility, ensuring efficient inventory management, adherence to cold chain protocols, and smooth logistics operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.  Operations Management: Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of temperature-sensitive goods. Ensure timely loading/unloading of goods with proper handling procedures. Monitor and manage warehouse team performance. Cold Chain Compliance: Ensure that temperature-sensitive goods are stored and handled in compliance with cold chain protocols. Monitor and log temperature levels regularly, coordinate with maintenance for repairs or anomalies. Conduct routine checks to avoid product spoilage or contamination. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records using WMS (Warehouse Management System). Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile with system records. Manage FIFO/FEFO stock rotation practices. Health & Safety: Enforce safety standards and hygiene protocols in the warehouse. Train staff on safety procedures and emergency response. Report and address any workplace hazards.  Team Leadership: Assist in staff scheduling, task delegation, and performance reviews. Provide training and coaching to warehouse staff. Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement. Reporting: Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly operational reports to management.
