Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain books of accounts as per accounting standards.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Finalization of Balance Sheet, P&L, and schedules.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and fund utilization.
  • Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.

2. Costing & Inventory Control

  • Monitor production costing (billet, sponge iron, rolling mill, power cost, fuel, consumables).
  • Analyze conversion cost per MT and cost variance.
  • Maintain stock records of raw material, WIP, finished goods, scrap.
  • Reconcile physical stock with books regularly.
  • Support pricing decisions through cost analysis.

3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

  • GST compliance (returns, reconciliation, audits, e-way bills).
  • TDS, TCS, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax compliance.
  • Income Tax computation, advance tax, assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act and other statutory laws.
  • Handle notices from tax authorities and departments.

4. Banking & Fund Management

  • Manage banking operations, CC limits, LC/BG documentation.
  • Liaison with banks and financial institutions.
  • Monitor interest cost and working capital utilization.
  • Prepare MIS for lenders and management.

5. MIS & Management Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports (sales, production, cost, profitability).
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support management in decision-making with financial insights.

6. Vendor, Customer & Payroll Management

  • Oversee vendor payments and reconciliations.
  • Monitor receivables and follow-up for collections.
  • Ensure timely payroll processing and statutory deductions.

7. Team & Process Management

  • Supervise accounts team and allocate responsibilities.
  • Strengthen internal controls and SOPs.
  • Implement ERP / accounting software effectively.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of steel/TMT manufacturing accounting
  • Expertise in cost accounting and GST
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong coordination and leadership ability

Qualification

  • CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com

Experience

  • 8–15 years of relevant experience
  • Mandatory experience in Steel / TMT Bar / Manufacturing Industry
