About the Role


Assistant Financial Controller


The role will support global month-end close, oversee consolidation of multiple legal entities, and ensure high-quality financial reporting in line with corporate and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement and governance.


Key Responsibilities


Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting

  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation under

    US GAAP

    , ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and foreign currency translation adjustments.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, variance analysis, and commentary for management.
  • Maintain and enhance the group chart of accounts and reporting structure for consistency and control.
  • Support external reporting requirements, including preparation of disclosures and audit schedules.


Month-End Closing & Accounting Operations

  • Oversee entity-level financial close and ensure timely submission of results for consolidation.
  • Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analyses.
  • Ensure proper cut-off, accruals, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Coordinate closely with regional and country finance teams for accurate reporting.
  • Identify and implement automation or process simplification opportunities to shorten the close cycle.


Technical Accounting & US GAAP Compliance

  • Interpret and apply

    US GAAP

    standards to complex accounting transactions.
  • Support implementation of new accounting standards and policy updates across the group.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos and ensure consistent treatment of key areas (revenue, leases, goodwill, etc.).


Internal Controls, Audit & Governance

  • Design, implement, and monitor effective

    internal controls

    over financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with

    SOX

    and internal audit requirements.
  • Support statutory, tax, and group audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of issues.
  • Maintain robust documentation for audit readiness and compliance reviews.


Treasury & Intercompany Oversight

  • Monitor intercompany balances, settlements, and currency exposure.
  • Support treasury in ensuring liquidity management and funding consistency across entities.


Business Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Operations teams to align accounting and business objectives.
  • Provide insights to management on financial performance and control environment.
  • Drive process standardization and promote best practices across the finance network.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members within the group finance function.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent qualification.
  • 5–8 years of post-qualification experience in

    consolidation, controllership, or technical accounting

    .
  • Proven experience with

    US GAAP

    and multi-entity consolidations.
  • Strong exposure to ERP and consolidation tools (SAP, Oracle, HFM, or OneStream preferred).
  • Prior experience in

    multinational or global finance operations
