This Role Gives You Exposure To

• IP filing & prosecution (Trademark, Copyright, Patent, Industrial Design, GI).
• Tech-enabled IP management platforms.
• Legal automation tools for portfolio management, IP compliance dashboards, and AI-based IP search.
• You’ll contribute to shaping an IPR practice that’s tech-driven, global, and future-ready.
• Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
• IPR Legal Work
• Draft and file Trademark, Copyright, and Patent applications.
• Conduct IP searches, oppositions, and renewals using online databases.
• Handle Industrial Design registration and documentation.
• Assist in Geographical Indication (GI) filings and compliance requirements.
• Prepare legal opinions, case briefs, and client advisory notes on IP matters.
  

• Collaborate in building IP portfolio management software.
• Use AI-powered tools for trademark search, copyright similarity checks, and patent prior-art analysis.
• Work on automation of filings, compliance tracking, and reporting dashboards.
• Integrate tools like Notion, NotebookLM, Perplexity, Apify/Scrapy (for data extraction), and Google Drive for knowledge management.
• Support in developing IP APIs for search, filings, and compliance monitoring.
• Skills & Knowledge Required
• Legal Knowledge
• Trademark Law: Filing, classification (Nice Classification), opposition proceedings, renewals.
• Copyright Law: Registration process, literary/artistic works, software & digital content protection.
• Patent Law: Drafting specifications, filing process with IPO, PCT applications, prior-art search.
• Industrial Designs: Application process, novelty requirement, classification, protection scope.
• Geographical Indications (GI): Filing, collective ownership, documentation requirements.
  

• Familiarity with IP databases (WIPO, IPO, USPTO, EUIPO).
• Understanding of IP management software and SaaS workflows.
• Knowledge of RAG-based AI pipelines for legal Q&A and IP compliance.
• Tools: Notion, NotebookLM, Perplexity AI, Google Drive, MS Office/Canva (for presentations).
• Exposure to OCR tools, APIs, and database integrations for legal software development (preferred).

• Trainee / Jurionship (6 Months): Hands-on training in IP filings, tech tools, and client projects.
• Junior Legal Associate: Handle independent IP filings, assist in software development, contribute to IP automation solutions.
• IPR Specialist / Tech-Law Associate: Lead IP projects, manage IP SaaS dashboards, handle global filings.
