Job Description: Sales Manager – Position Overview The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strong customer relationships, and managing the overall sales strategy within the food industry segment. This role involves identifying new market opportunities, managing key accounts, leading the sales team, and ensuring revenue targets are achieved. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals and revenue targets. Identify new business opportunities in B2B / B2C / Institutional segments (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes, Retail, Distributors, Modern Trade). Expand market presence by acquiring new customers and strengthening existing customer relationships. Conduct market research to understand competitive landscape, pricing trends, and customer needs. 2. Key Account Management Manage and grow major accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and long-term contracts with clients and distributors. Coordinate with supply chain, production, and finance teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth customer experience. 3. Sales Operations Prepare monthly/quarterly sales forecasts and reports. Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when needed. Oversee sales documentation, agreements, and compliance with company policies. 4. Team Leadership Recruit, train, and motivate a sales team. Set sales targets and performance metrics for team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching. 5. Marketing Coordination Work closely with the marketing team to plan promotions, product launches, and trade marketing activities. Participate in food expos, exhibitions, trade fairs, and customer events. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Technology, or related field. Minimum 3–8 years of sales experience in the food/FMCG industry (ingredients, beverages, packaged foods, frozen foods, HORECA, etc.). Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Experience managing a sales team is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage. Willingness to travel as required.
