Brief Summary
As a ServiceNow DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a small, agile team operating in a DevOps model, responsible for the operational excellence, stability, and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform. This includes IT modules (ITSM, SPM) and a suite of business-critical scoped applications (Finance, Logistics, Procurement, MDM, MLM). You will handle incidents, service requests, and changes, monitor platform health, and contribute to project delivery. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for learning and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
Platform Operations & Support

Handle ServiceNow incidents, service requests, and change requests (standard, normal, emergency) across IT and business modules.

Ensure timely resolution and documentation of tickets in line with SLAs.
-
Act as a first point of escalation for complex issues from L1 support or business users.

Maintain and update platform documentation, knowledge articles, and CMDB records.
Project Participation
-
Collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts on enhancements and new implementations.
-
Support testing, deployment, and hypercare activities.
-
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process optimization.

Stay up to date with ServiceNow releases and recommend relevant features or upgrades.
Contribute to platform governance and best practices.

Log, investigate, and resolve ServiceNow incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
-
Execute and document standard, normal, and emergency changes in accordance with change management procedures.

Monitor platform performance dashboards and integration health checks.
-
Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose preventive measures.
-
Collaborate with developers to test and deploy new features or fixes.
-
Identify automation opportunities and contribute to scripting or workflow improvements.
-
Stay informed about new ServiceNow releases and assess impact on current environment.

Take ownership of knowledge management by capturing, updating, and promoting documentation of known issues, workarounds, and standard procedures.
We believe you are

5+ years working within IT project delivery environments
-
Bachelor or Masters degree, in a relevant field, like (project) management, organization, business administration or IT or supplemented with relevant experience.

Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and architecture.

Proficiency in ITSM, SPM, and scoped applications.
-
Familiarity with scripting (JavaScript), REST APIs, and integrations.

ServiceNow Platform Administration: Managing users, roles, groups, ACLs, and configurations.

ITSM Module Expertise: Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.

SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management): Familiarity with demand, project, and resource management modules.
-
Scoped Application Support: Understanding of custom apps for Finance, Logistics, Procurement, MDM, MLM.

Scripting: JavaScript (client/server-side), Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes.
-
Integration Skills: REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server.
-
Monitoring & Alerting: Use of ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Health Scan, or external tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.

DevOps Tooling: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, or ServiceNow’s ATF (Automated Test Framework).

Agile Practices: Working in sprints, using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
Process & Methodology Skills

ITIL Foundation Knowledge: Especially around incident, change, and request management.
-
Agile/DevOps Mindset: Iterative delivery, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Documentation & Knowledge Management: Creating and maintaining KB articles, SOPs, and platform documentation.
-
Fluency in English, with additional languages being a plus.

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
