Position Title: Analyst

Location: Mumbai

Job Overview

Financial Model

• Develop, maintain, and analyse complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, forecast future financial performance, and assess the impact of different strategic options.
• Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies, such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis (Comps), and Precedent Transactions.

Market Research

• Conduct extensive industry research to support senior bankers in understanding market trends, competitive dynamics, and potential opportunities.
• Analyse economic and financial data to identify trends, assess risks, and develop recommendations.

Transaction Support

• Assist in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and other marketing materials for M&A, equity offerings, and debt issuances.
• Support the due diligence process, including data gathering, financial analysis, and coordination with various stakeholders.

Client Interaction

• Participate in meetings and calls with clients to discuss strategic options, present findings, and provide updates on ongoing projects.
• Prepare detailed client reports and presentations that summarize financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and deal terms.

Deal Execution

• Work closely with senior bankers and other team members to execute transactions, including drafting offering memoranda, coordinating with legal and accounting advisors, and managing project timelines.
• Monitor the progress of deals, ensuring that all aspects of the transaction are moving forward as planned.

Data Management

• Organize and manage large sets of financial data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the team.
• Create and maintain databases of market and financial information for use in analysis and client presentations.

Education Qualifications

Skills

• Analytical Skills

  : Strong quantitative and analytical abilities to assess financial statements, create financial models, and conduct valuations.

• Communication Skills

  : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.

• Attention to Detail

  : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing financial models, reports, and presentations.

• Time Management

  : Ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding environment working long hours. Multi-tasking and meeting accelerated schedules and urgent deadlines with a short turnaround time.

• Technical Proficiency

  : Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (working knowledge of Bloomberg, Capital IQ will be an advantage)
